Christmas Village

In 1948, Carl Bozenski, Torrington’s Parks and Recreation Supervisor, invited Santa Claus to spend the three weeks before Christmas at Alvord Playground. Along for the trip from the North Pole came Santa’s reindeer and his helpers. Since that time, Santa has returned here each year. He welcomes his guests while seated on an elaborate throne in his tinsel decorated parlor and gives each of the children a toy. Christmas Village has brought fame to Torrington as well as joy to it’s many visitors over the past 56 years.

Torrington YMCA

The Torrington Branch of the Northwest CT YMCA serves the people of Northwest Connecticut to build healthy spirits, minds and bodies. Located in the heart of Torrington, Connecticut, the Y offers a great facility and very friendly and helpful staff, a 6 Lane - 25 Yard Pool, Gymnasium, Racquetball/Paddleball Courts, Childcare Center (Ages 6 Months to 12 Years), Cardio Fitness Center, Strength Training Center Saunas and more.

Limerock Park

It started with the infancy of the SCCA and continued through the birth of Trans-Am, the heyday of IMSA and the current era of prototypes and production-based racing. Lime Rock Park’s legacy has been built on staging the finest sports car events in North America and that tradition will carry on.

Yankee Pedlar Inn

Nestled in downtown Torrington, the Yankee Pedlar Inn a landmark hotel, boasts antique furniture, old world lobby and ambience. Manual elevator brings back memories of the way it was way back when. There are World War posters and other advertisements dating back over 70 years.
